The petitioner is the sole accused in S.C.No.70 of 2015 on the file of the I Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai, seeks bail. 2.

Originally, this FIR has been registered for the offences under Sections 394 r/w 397 IPC.

The petitioner absconded from judicial process necessitating Non Bailable Warrant to be issued on 22.06.2015 and the petitioner was secured only on 25.09.2023 after more than 8 years. 4.

The very fact that the petitioner had been absconding for 8 years shows that there is every possibility of him absconding once again if the application seeking bail is considered. 5.

The earlier application seeking anticipatory bail was dismissed by this Court in Crl. O.P. No.3991 of 2024 on 21.02.2024. It is stated that there has been substantial progress in the trial of the case in S.C.No.70 of

2015 by the learned I Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai. It is stated that the evidence on the side of the prosecution has been completed and the matter is now posted on 08.04.2024 for questioning the accused under Section 313 of Cr.P.C.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner may impress upon the petitioner to co-operate during the questioning and the learned counsel appearing before the Trial Court also to advance arguments. The Direction is given to the learned I Additional Sessions Court, Chennai to endeavour to dispose of S.C. No.70 of 2015 on or before 30.04.2024. 6.
