Mr.P.Senthilvel, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and by consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta to the petitioner situated in comprised old Grama Natham S.No.11A, 7B Part, New T.S.No.17, Block No.14, having an extent of 1287 sq.ft. in No.3/1A, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Thanthoni Amman Kovil, 2nd Street, Villivakkam, Chennai - 600049 based on the representation dated 25.11.2017 and pass order on the same within a reasonable time to be fixed by this Court.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court, is that the said representation has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the 2nd respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.11.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
