The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 120(B), 406, 420 & 34 of IPC and Section 5 of TNPID Act 1997 and Sections 21(3), 22, 23, 25 of BUDS Act 2019 in Crime No.2 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The petitioner is a staff at M.S.Amro Kings Limited. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is completely innocent of the activities of the said company. The Managing Directors of the said company appear to have invited investments to be made by the general public and it is the contention of the respondent, by such invitation nearly about Rs.1,40,00,000/- had been deposited by various individuals. It is also contended on the side of the respondent, though the 1st to 3rd accused had been taken into custody, the petitioner is also required to find out whether there has been any transaction to the account of the petitioner.

smv 3.Since investigation is pending, at this stage, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
