ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 01.11.2023 within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.

Heard Mr.S.Udhaya Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2.

The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that his name has not been added in the joint patta that stands in the name of the other legal heirs and the request made by the petitioner in this regard was rejected by the 2nd respondent by an order dated 15.02.2024. The petitioner filed an appeal before the 1st respondent and the same was not acted upon. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition,

there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner after affording opportunity to the other interested parties and final orders shall be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
