This writ petition has been filed to quash the order, dated 5/1/2015 passed by the first respondent, in Na.Ka.No.1979/2014/A2 and consequently, direct the first respondent to restore the cheque signing powers.

2. Heard Mr.D.Ravindranathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2. There is no representation on behalf of the respondents 3 and 4. Page No:2/4

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, by way of impugned order, dated 5/1/2015, cheque signing powers of the petitioner was stopped, in terms of Sections 203 and 204 (2) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994. After 2015, many elections have been held for the post of President of Natteri Panchayat and hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter.

4. In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous as nothing survives for further adjudication. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 4/1/2023 mvs.
