ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the applications dated 31.07.2018 and reminder application on 08.12.2022 to issue community certificate to the petitioner and his children.

2. According to the petitioner, he belongs to Kattunayakan Community, which is a Scheduled Tribe Community. He is an agricultural coolie. So far, he did not obtain any community certificate. The children of the petitioner are now studying in IX std and IV std. Therefore, he made an application to the respondent on 31.07.2018 and a reminder application on 08.12.2022 requesting to issue community certificate to the petitioner and his children. However, the said applications are still pending and no orders have been passed. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition before this Court.

3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, we direct the petitioner to submit a copy of the representation dated 31.07.2018 or any fresh application through online, within a period of one week from the 2/4

date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the respondent is directed to consider the same, if it is in order and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the petitioner, as early as possible, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

4. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
