ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the order in Crl.M.P.No.8456 of 2024 dated 15.03.2024 on the file of the Learned Principal Sessions Judge, Court of Session, Chennai. 1/4
2. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 03.04.2024, the petitioner herein had drawn a demand draft for a sum of Rs.4,60,000/- (Rupees four lakhs sixty thousand) in favour of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, which has been directed to be paid as compensation.
3. The petitioner herein seeks for suspension of sentence pending in Criminal Appeal No.209 of 2024 on the file of the Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai.
4. In the light of the above facts, this Court is inclined to grant the suspension of sentence till the disposal of the criminal appeal on the following conditions:
1. The petitioner is directed to deposit the demand draft for Rs.4,60,000/- before the XXV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai in STC.No.279 of 2023 within a period of seven days and produce two sureties for a sum of Rs.25,000/- each.
2. The petitioner shall also report before the XXV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai on every first working day of the English calendar.
