The petitioners filed appeals under Section 19(3) of the Right to Information Act before the first respondent complaining about the act of the third respondent in not furnishing the information required in terms of Section 7(1) of the Right to Information Act. Since the appeals have not been given disposal, they came forward to file these writ petitions.
3. Heard Mr.A.Nagarathinam, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the first respondent and Mr.P.Kannan Kumar, learned counsel appearing for respondents 2 and 3.
4. This Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal petitions in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioners.
