(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offences under Section 4(1)(h) TNP Act, in Crime No.24 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 100 bottles of I.D.Arrack. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the he has been falsely implicated in this case only for statistical purpose and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner is involved in 7 previous cases similar in nature. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the bad antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. -sd/- 12/05/2021 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
