ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) It is not in dispute that the unauthorized constructions are identified by the authorities of Greater Chennai Corporation. Enforcement actions were initiated. Pertinently, revision petition filed under Section 80-A of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act was also rejected vide letter dated 16.07.2024. The Government has directed to conclude the enforcement actions.
2. The learned Standing Counsel for Corporation would submit that the tenant has filed a separate writ petition in W.P.No.13077 of 2025 and this Court
granted one month time to the tenant to vacate the premises enabling the corporation authorities to demolish the unauthorized constructions.
3. In view of the said factum, the learned Standing Counsel would submit that enforcement actions will be continued after 10th May 2025 as per the orders of the Government and this Court.
4. This being the submission the Greater Chennai Corporation authorities are directed to continue the enforcement actions from 11th May 2025 and conclude the same within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
