Respondent/Petitioner Appeal under Clause 15 of the Letters Patent against the Order, dated 10.01.2019, passed in W.P.No.29784 of 2018 on the file of this Court.

WP.NO.29784/2018:

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of of India seeking to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the Impugned proceedings dated 22.08.2014 passed in Na.Ka.32324/2012/J4 on the file of the 2nd Respondent herein quash the same and consequently direct the Respondents to grant Freedom Fighter`s Pensiion to the petitioner within a stipulated period.

JUDGMENT

(By Dr.Vineet Kothari,J.) Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, we are satisfied that no interference is called for in the impugned order passed by the learned Single Judge, dated 10.01.2019, in W.P.No.29784 of 2018.

2. The Respondent-writ petitioner, who is a 'Freedom Fighter', is stated to be aged about 96 years.

3. The learned Single Judge has directed the AppellantState to sanction State Freedom Fighters Pension to the respondent, which Pension is said to be approximately Rs.3,000/- per month now, from the date of his application. The learned Single Judge has discussed all the facts and circumstances of the case and supplied adequate reasons in the impugned order.

4. Therefore, we see no reason to interfere with the order impugned in this Writ Appeal before us. Writ Appeal is, accordingly, dismissed.

5. Compliance of the order of the learned Single Judge be made by the Appellant-State within four weeks from today, in view of the advanced age of the respondent-writ petitioner.

6. No costs. Consequently, the connected C.M.P.No.13160 of 2019 also stands dismissed.
