Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.05.2020 and to register his name in the District Revenue Records in respect of his patta land (Patta No.816 issued on 29.05.1996), admeasuring 105 square meter, i.e., Approx.71⁄2 Kuli (3 cents), comprised in Old Survey No.13/5B, New Survey No.13/35, situated at Kidarangkondan Post, Tharangampadi Taluk, Nagapattinam District, within a stipulated time fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

Mr.J.Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.
2.According to the petitioner, he is in continuous possession and enjoyment of the land admeasuring 105 square meter, i.e., Approx.71⁄2 Kuli (3 cents), comprised in Old Survey No.13/5B, New Survey No.13/35, situated at Kidarangkondan Post, Tharangampadi Taluk, Nagapattinam District for several years by putting up a construction and cultivating vegetables etc. The third respondent issued Patta bearing no.816 dated 29.05.1996, Chitta and Adangal in respect of the said land in his favour. Whileso, the second respondent, under the influence of the neighbours, is repeatedly giving hindrance to the petitioner stating that his Patta and other documents were not registered in the District Revenue Records. Hence, he gave a detailed representation dated 22.05.2020 enclosing all the supporting documents to the respondents, requesting to register his name in the District Revenue Records in respect of his patta land. Finding no response on the said representation, the petitioner has preferred this writ petition.
3.Heard both sides and perused the materials placed before this Court.
4.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer made herein, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.05.2020, on the basis of the relevant records and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of uploading the copy of this order in the web site.
