Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct all the respondents herein to consider the representation dated 02.01.2017 and reminder representation dated 08.07.2017 in the light of the Government Order No.570 Revenue Department dated 26.12.2014 to include the petitioner name with appropriate seniority in the proposal list for the post of Village Administrative Officer (2016-2017) year, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner dated 02.01.2017 based on the Government Order No.570 Revenue Department dated 26.12.2014.

2. The writ petitioner is now working as Village Assistant and has qualified for promotion to the post of Village Administrative Officer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner states that the Government also fixed quota for Village Assistant for promotion to the post of Village Administrative Officer and the case of the writ petitioner has not been considered. In this regard, he made a representation to the second respondent on 02.01.2017.

4. Thus, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner dated 02.01.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. However, there is no order as to costs.
