S.Sampath ..Respondents Prayer : - Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to consider the revision petition filed by the petitioner on 26.12.2020 and dispose of the revision petition seeking direction to direct the 2nd respondent Regional Deputy Inspector General of Registration to condone the delay and hear the appeal.

ORDER

(1) Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.

(2) The petitioner suffered an order in the hands of the 3rd respondent herein dated 14.09.2020 passed in Na.Ka.No.1846/Aa1/2020, whereby the document presented by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

him for registration was refused to be registered owing to delay of more than 18 months. Questioning such an order, the petitioner had filed a revision petition before the 1st respondent herein.

(3) It is claimed that the said revision petition has been preferred on 26.12.2020. Unfortunately, the 1st respondent had not taken any steps to dispose of the said revision petition, necessitating the petitioner to file the present writ petition.

(4) A direction is issued to the 1st respondent to examine the records, issue notice to the petitioner and dispose of the revision petition dated 26.12.2020 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Additionally, the petitioner herein may also enclose a copy of this order and also urge the 1st respondent to pass requisite orders within a period of twelve weeks.

(5) The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
