ORDER

Pending the proceedings before this Court, the parties have reached an amicable settlement. The parties have also executed a Joint Compromise Memo, which is duly signed by the petitioner, respondent and the respective counsel. The said Joint Compromise Memo is dated 25.08.2025. The wife has filed M.O.P. No.247 of 2020, which is 1/4

pending before the Family Court, Puducherry for dissolution of the marriage. The Transfer C.M.P. has been filed for clubbing the said M.O.P. proceedings in O.S. No.20 of 2023, which is pending before the Principal District Judge, Arani, Tiruvannamalai District. Now, in and by the compromise, the petitioner and the respondent have agreed for dissolution of the marriage, solemnized on 11.02.2018, reserving their right to proceed independently in O.S. No.20 of 2023.

2. The petitioner has appeared in person and the respondent, wife has appeared through video conferencing and her parents are present physically in Court. They also affirm that the Compromise Memo has been entered into voluntarily and the spouses have no objection for their marriage being dissolved. Though the present proceedings are only pertaining to transfer, in view of the fact that the parties have themselves have come forward to dissolve their marriage by mutual consent, this Court is entitled to invoke the extraordinary powers under Article 227 of the Constitution of India and pass suitable orders, I am inclined to accept the said Joint Compromise Memo entered between the petitioner and the respondent. Recording the same, the marriage between the petitioner and the respondent solemnized on 11.02.2018 is hereby stands dissolved by 2/4

mutual consent. The Joint Compromise Memo, dated 25.08.2025 shall form part and parcel of the order.
