Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider her application dated 28.01.2019, wherein and whereby, she sought permission to run the Cable Television business in Sivapuram, Pallakadu and adjacent areas.

3. It is stated that the petitioner is running a Cable Television Network, at Door No.2/326-B, Sivapuram, Kabilarmalai Post, Paramathi Velur Taluk, Namakkal 637 204, having Cable https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Television Registration Number 726 issued by the Head Post Office, Tiruchengode Town on 21.01.2019. It is also stated that the petitioner has made an application on 28.01.2019, seeking permission to run the Cable Television business in Sivapuram, Pallakadu and adjacent areas. However, the respondents have not considered the same. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. Heard both sides.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the 1st respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 28.01.2019 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 1st respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
