Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issue a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents from constructing any building for housing the office of Sub-Registrar or any other office, in the land comprised in Survey No.160/4 (New Sub-Division Number 160/5) having an extent of 0.31.0 Hectare at Kadaladi Village, Kalasapakkam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District and consequently direct the respondents to choose the suitable place by holding a meeting for public opinion within a reasonable time by considering the representation dated 02.06.2020 made by the petitioner and others.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner made a representation inter alia alleging that construction is being made contrary to law on the water catchment area. Since the representation made by the petitioner has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though a larger prayer has been sought for, the petitioner would be satisfied if the pending representation is considered by the 1st respondent.

3. Taking note of the submission made, particularly, the pendency of the representation dated 02.06.2020, we call upon the 1st respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to send another copy of the representation aforesaid within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected WMP is closed.
