ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram to complete the trial of the case in C.C.No.303 of 2014 within a stipulated period of three months.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that on the basis of the complaint given by her with the respondent police as against her husband, father in law and mother in law, a case has been registered in Crime No.9 of 2014. In this case, after completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed and the same was taken on file as C.C.No.303 of 2014 by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that even though charge sheet has been filed in the month of March, 2014, for the past 1-1/2 years, there is no https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

progress in the trial and the accused persons are purposely dragging on the proceedings without any valid reasons. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram to complete the trial of the case in C.C.No.303 of 2014 within a stipulated period of three months.

Since the case is only of the year 2014, this Court is not inclined to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram to complete the trial of the case in C.C.No.303 of 2014 within a stipulated time. However, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram, is directed to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible.
