WMP No.11377 of 2026, filed seeking permission to the petitioners to jointly file a single writ petition is ordered to payment of separate

Court fee.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a limited relief. The petitioners seek for an early disposal of their appeal, dated 13.10.2025 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent, wherein the petitioners have sought cancellation of patta issued in the names of the respondents 4 and 5 for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to the writ petition. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that based on the directions issued by this Court, in WP No.2419 of 2026 dated 29.01.2026, the 3rd respondent has conducted a survey and demarcated the boundaries of the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. Therefore, he submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioners before the 2nd respondent has to be disposed of expeditiously.

Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. Mr.M.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side], accepts notice on behalf of 6th respondent. Since no adverse orders are being passed against the respondents 4 and 5 in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 4 and 5 is dispensed with by this Court. 5.

This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the

petitioner's appeal dated 13.10.2025.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioners appeal dated 30.10.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the respondents 4 to 6 and any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems fit to enquire, by adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
