Seeking a direction to call for the records in Crime No.926 of 2015 pending on the file of the 1st respondent and quash the same, the petitioner has come up with this petition. 2.

On the complaint lodged by K.Prasad (second respondent/ defacto complainant), the first respondent police have registered a case in D-3, Ice House Police Station Crime No.926 of 2015 on 09.03.2015, for an offence under Section 420 IPC against Venkateswaran (accused), challenging which, Venkateswaran is before this Court on the ground that he has arrived at an amicable settlement with the defacto complainant. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Today, Mr.S.Balamurugan, Special Sub Inspector of Police is present. Venkateswaran (accused) and K.Prasad (defacto complainant) are also present and they are identified by the Special Sub Inspector of Police. They have filed a compromise memo, wherein both the parties have agreed to have the case quashed.

When this Court questioned K.Prasad (defacto complainant), he stated that he has no objection in the prosecution being quashed.

In view of the above, the criminal original petition is allowed and the proceedings in Crime No.926 of 2015 pending on the file of the 1st respondent is quashed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
