ORDER
The petitioner has come to this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of his patta name transfer application dated 22.1.2018 in accordance with law.
2. When the petitioner claims to be the owner of the subject property along with his sisters and mother, he has also produced the gift deed dated 13.9.84 executed in favour of his father, the patta issued in favour of his father, the death certificate of his father dated 27.5.2016 as well as the legal heirship certificate dated 11.10.2017. Since the petitioner's father passed away on 6.5.2016, as per the legal heirship certificate, the petitioner is entitled to ask for name transfer in the patta. Therefore, he has given a representation on 22.1.2018 to the first respondent. As the same has not been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
considered till date, he has been advised to come to this Court.
3. Mr.D.Suryanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. This Court, considering the limited prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, hereby directs the first respondent to consider the pending application of the petitioner for name transfer in the patta on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
