Criminal Appeal filed under Section 378 of Code of Criminal Procedure against the judgment dated 22.04.2008 passed by the learned IV Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai in C.A.No.342 of 2006 acquitting the respondent herein under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act by reversing the judgment of conviction and sentence passed by the learned VIII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Twon, Chennai and made in C.C.No.5916 of 2002 by Judgment dated 13.11.2006 convicting the respondent herein under section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, and sentencing him to undergo imprisonment for six months and to pay a compensation of Rs.2,00,000/- to the complainant within a month.
