The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition for issuance of a Mandamus directing the respondent to issue the Passport to him, by considering his online application dated 03.11.2020 within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner was issued with passport bearing passport No.Z4464600 on 20.4.2018. On 3.11.2020, he applied for re-issue of passport, through online mode in Application Ref.No. (ARN) 2010034819537, File No.MA1073083911520 and paid requisite fee of Rs.1,500/- and he was called for to appear before the passport office, but passport was not reissued and the reason for the same has not been informed to him.
3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that due to non issuance of passport, he is not able to go abroad. Therefore he sent a representation dated 12.4.2021 to the respondent seeking the reason for non-issuance of passport, but till date, the same https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
is kept pending and the reason for pendency is not informed to him. Hence the petitioner has filed the writ petition for the aforesaid relief.
4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
5. Having regard to the submissions made on either side, the respondent shall consider the petitioner's application dated 3.11.2020 seeking re-issuance of passport and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law after granting opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
