O R D E R
This Writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2021.
2. The case of the petitioner is that, on 30.01.1985, the petitioner applied for free supply of power for agricultural pump sets before the 2nd respondent for the purpose of cultivating her agricultural land comprised in Survey No.79 to an extent of 1.07.5 Hectare. Upon receipt of the said application, on 22.08.2005, the 2nd respondent sent a sanction letter to the petitioner and directed her to submit certain documents before the 3rd respondent on or before 19.11.2005 and only after obtaining the confirmation, the petitioner can purchase the said agricultural pump sets and register the same before the 3rd respondent as ready for installation. However, due to certain health ailments, as the petitioner was bedridden, she was able to obtain the above said documents only on 24.05.2010. 2/6
Therefore, on 25.05.2010, the petitioner sent a representation to the 3rd respondent seeking to extend the time for purchasing the motor and the agricultural pumps and to register before him, which evoked no response. Subsequently, the petitioner made several representations seeking necessary direction to the 3rd respondent to provide power for agricultural pump set, however, till date, no orders have been passed on the same. Finally, on 27.02.2021, the petitioner sent a representation to the District Collector, Krishnagiri and the 3rd respondent seeking to consider her representation and to consequently provide free power supply for her agricultural land, which evoked no response. Hence, the petitioner has come up with this Writ petition.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2021 and to consequently provide free power supply to the petitioner's agricultural land as expeditiously as possible. 3/6
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that, the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2021 will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2021 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, as per the existing guidelines and Government Orders, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
