ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This contempt petition alleges non-compliance of the order dated 25.10.2025 in WP No.39605 of 2025, whereby the writ petition was disposed of by directing the respondents to enquire into the complaint made by the petitioner, if not already done and pass appropriate orders after affording an opportunity of hearing to the alleged encroachers, within an outer time-limit of four months.

2. Learned State Counsel would submit that an opportunity of hearing was given to the petitioner. He has also produced a letter dated 15.06.2026; wherein it is stated by the respondents that the inquiry is a long drawn process and action has been initiated against the encroachers.

3. The area involved lies in an extent of 97 acres 78 cents. Therefore, a detailed and elaborate inquiry is necessary. The letter dated 15.06.2026 is taken on record.

4. It is seen that the respondents have already initiated proceedings. The respondents are directed to take further action in accordance with law. We do not find any willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court. Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed.

5. It would be open to the petitioner to file application for revival, in case the proceedings are not completed within a reasonable time.
