O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate -II, Chengleput to complete the trial in respect of C.C.No. 217 of 2009 in a time bound manner.

2. When the matter came up before this Court on 07.08.2015, this Court has called for the report from the learned Judicial Magistrate - II, Chengleput assigning the reasons for delay in completion of trial in C.C.No. 217 of 2009. Pursuant to the same, the learned Judicial Magistrate - II, Chengleput, has sent a report dated 26.08.2015, wherein, it has been explained that the accused No. 1 has expired during the pendency of the case https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and the charges were framed against the other accused person and that since there is lack of clarification with respect of jurisdiction till this date and also the death certificate of the accused No. 1 is awaited, the matter has been kept pending.

3. Considering the facts as stated above and in view of the fact that the matter has been pending since 2009 without considerable progress thereof, before the learned Judicial Magistrate - II, Chengleput, this Court directs the Judicial Magistrate - II, to expedite the trial and dispose of the case in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
