ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 15.07.2025 and 12.12.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the present Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that her parental great grand father A.Thangavel Naicker died on 15.04.1948 and the same was registered on 18.04.1948 and thereafter obtained the legal heir certificate on 23.01.2022. In the said legal heir certificate, the date of death of the said Thangavel Naicker was inadvertently mentioned as 18.04.1948 instead of 15.04.1948 for which the petitioner made a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer on 15.07.2025 followed by a representation to the first respondent on 12.12.2025. On her representation dated 12.12.2025, the first respondent directed the second respondent to take action on the issue, pursuant to which, the second respondent passed an order on 17.12.2025 for issuance of the corrected certificate, however there was no progress and hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 15.07.2025 and 12.12.2025 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the third respondent to conclude the proceedings of the second respondent dated 29.01.2026 and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law in the subject issue, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
