ORDER

The petitioner herein has given a representation to the respondent on 26.12.2023 to delete his name from the register of history sheeter.

2. According to the petitioner, the case was registered against him along with few others in the year 2018 for the alleged theft of sand and based on the single FIR, his name had been included in the history sheeter register. However, that complaint after investigation, his name was deleted in the final report and therefore there is no reason to regain his name in the register of history sheeter. Inspite of making request to remove his name from the history sheeter, till date no action been taken. Hence, the petition seeking mandamus.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the aforesaid representation is under active consideration and necessary order will be passed within a period of one month.

4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of with direction to the respondents to pass order on the representation dated 26.12.2023 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
