Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment made by the 5th and 6th respondents in the odai in S.No.21/11 of Gosalai Village, Aadi Annamalai Post, Tiruvannamalai District based on the petitioner representation dated 04.01.2024.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Mariappan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader assisted by Mr.K.Karthik Jegannath, learned Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 to 4.

2. Learned State Government Pleader submits that the land in S.No.21/11 is an Odai. Form-I, under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, has been issued today and further steps, in accordance with law, would be undertaken to remove the encroachments expeditiously.

3. In view of the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (J.S.N.P., J.) 17.04.2024 Index :
