ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to transfer the investigation to some other competent authority which is pending in Crime No.268 of 2024 on the file of Inspector of Police, R.S.Puram Police

Station, Coimbatore City, Coimbatore District.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

3. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, FIR has been registered by the first respondent in Crime No.268 of 2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 506(2) of IPC. However, the enquiry is still pending.

4. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that the entire investigation has been almost completed.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case that the entire investigation has been completed and the final report is yet to be filed, this Court is not inclined to transfer the investigation in Crime No.268 of 2024, from the file of the respondent to any other investigation agency. However, the respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.268 of 2024 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore is directed to monitor the investigation and ensure that the fair and proper investigation is conducted in the case registered against the accused.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
