..Respondents PRAYER: This Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the detenue namely, L.Madhumitha, daughter of T.Lakshmanan, aged about 19 years or her body before this Court and set her at liberty. O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN, J.) The matter is heard through video-conferencing. 2.This petition has been filed by the father of the detenue stating that his daughter is missing and he has alleged that the 3rd respondent would have kidnapped her.
3.When the matter is called today, Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the girl was traced and it is learnt that the 3rd respondent and the alleged detenue got married as they are major. They have been brought to the Police Station and the petitioner and family members were called and the girl expressed her unwillingness to go with the petitioner and she wanted to live with her husband/3rd respondent herein. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has also confirmed the same. Since the alleged victim and the 3rd respondent are major and they got married, there is no illegal detention as alleged by the petitioner. Hence, this petition is closed.
