For Both Crl.O.P's:- For Petitioner : Mr.L.Infant Dinesh For Respondent : Mr.S.Santhosh Government Advocate (crl.side) COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions had been filed to direct the learned XIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, to dispose the C.C.No.16206 of 2022 and C.C.No.15789 of 2022 pending trial expeditiously within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, First Information Report in Cr.No.310 of 2022 was registered for the offences under Section 294 (b), 355, 323 and 506 (i) I.P.C. r/w Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, against one Sruthi and her parents. After investigation, respondent Police filed final report for the offence under Section 294 (b), 355, 323 and 506 (i) I.P.C. r/w Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, and that was taken on file

in C.C.No.16206 of 2022 pending on the file of learned XII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore. Petitioner filed a private complaint against Sruthi Tilak for the commission of offence under Section 500 I.P.C. That case is taken on file in C.C.No.15789 of 2022 and pending trial on the file of learned XIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore. The respondent, Shruthi Thilak is an Advocate. Whenever petitioner appears before the trial Court for the purpose of trial, respondent Shruthi tilak makes slogans against the petitioner and making it uncomfortable and unsafe for the petitioner to conduct the trial. Therefore, this petition is filed for early disposal of cases in C.C.No.16206 of 2022 and C.C.No.15789 of 2022 3.In response, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that examination of prosecution witnesses is over in C.C.No.16206 of 2022 and the matter is now pending for questioning the accused under Section 313 Cr.P.C.

4.In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, and without going into the merits of the contention of the petitioner, this Court directs the learned XIII

Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, to dispose both the cases as expeditiously as possible. It is also directed to ensure the safety of the petitioner while she attends the Court for trial of the cases. 5.With the above direction and observation, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
