No.6402 of 2002 from the file of Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal with a prayer to direct the respondents to promote the petitioner as B.T. Grade Middle School Headmaster and post him as B.T. Grade Middle School Headmaster in the available vacancy at Panchayat Union Middle School, Thirurameswaram, Mannarkudi Panchayat Union Unit and pass further orders.

O R D E R

The petitioner filed O.A. No.6402 of 2002 seeking for promotion before the Tamilnadu Administrative Tribunal, subsequently came on transfer as Writ Petition No. 8423 of 2007 before this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr. R. Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader, placing on record a letter dated 07.01.2015 of the third respondent, submitted that the prayer sought for by the petitioner has been given and he has also retired from service and therefore nothing survives in this writ petition. Mr. R. Muthukannu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner was also served with a copy of the proceedings.

3. Recording the above submission and the letter that has been placed on record, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs.
