Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the Respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner and her husband life based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2020. For Petitioner : Mr. M. Selvam For R1 to R3 : Mr. S. Karthikeyan, Additional Public Prosecutor.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for police protection to the petitioner and her husband at the hands of the Respondents 4 to 9.

2. Heard both sides.

3. It is seen that the petitioner fell in love with one Ramachandran who is aged about 21 years. When it came to the knowledge of the petitioner's family, they made arrangement to marry the petitioner with one Saravanan S/o. Chikkannan viz., the 4th respondent herein. Therefore, the petitioner eloped with said Ramachandran and married him in a Temple in the presence of the said Ramachandran family members. After knowing these facts, the respondents 4 to 9 have been threatening and trying to do away the husband of the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the 3rd respondent on 20.06.2020.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the 3rd respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband from the hands of the respondents 4 to 9 herein. Further, the 3rd respondent is also directed to enquire the complaint dated 20.06.2020 to call upon the respondents 4 to 9 again and pass appropriate orders.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
