2.

The petitioner is the husband, who has filed the petition in H.M.O.P.No.3273 of 2016 for dissolution of the marriage. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the matter is pending from the year 2016 without any progress and hence, a direction should be given for disposing the case within a fixed time frame. 4.

As per the report of the learned trial Judge, it is seen that on 28.04.2021, the respondent was set ex parte. However, a petition was filed to set aside the ex parte order and the same was allowed. One last chance seems to have been given for filing counter by the respondent. The learned II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai, himself has stated that steps will be taken to expedite the matter. 5.

Taking into consideration of the long pendency of the matter, it will be appreciable if the learned trial Judge disposes the case at the earliest.
