ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 303(2) of BNS in Crime No.158 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 06.05.2025 at about 9.00 am., while the defacto complainant was travelling in a bus along with her husband to Bangalore for medical treatment, unknown persons allegedly committed theft of a sum of Rs.27,000/- and gold ornaments, including a gold chain and a pair of earrings. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to comply with the condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would strongly oppose the bail application on the ground that this is a case of petty organized crime, wherein the petitioner is alleged to have stolen a sum of Rs.27,000/-, a gold chain, and a pair of earrings in a running bus. 5.Though the learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner has been falsely implicated, taking into consideration the totality of the circumstances and the nature of the allegations against the petitioner, this

Court is of the firm view that the petitioner does not deserve anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 18-03-2026 MPA To
