ORDER
The petitioners apprehend arrest for the alleged offence under Section 4
(1) (aaa), 4 (1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, r/w 4 (1) (A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024 & 14 A of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.228 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seek anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners were found in illegal transporation of 270 litres of ID Arrack. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent and they had been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that they are ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and that they are ready to cooperate with the investigation. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submits that a large quantity of 270 litres of ID arrack was recovered from the petitioners. He further submits that petitioners has no previous cases. However, he opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 5.Considering the submission of learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), from the nature of accusation made against this petitioner and considering the interest of society at large, this Court is of the firm view that the petitioners does not deserve anticipatory bail.
6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed. 18-03-2026 ep
