ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) Complaining that the petitioner's daughter named Meenu aged about 18 years has gone missing, the petitioner has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition.
2. Incidentally, the petitioner's complaint in this regard was registered in Crime No.66 of 2024 on 17.02.2024 under the caption 'Girl Missing' by the respondent Police.
3.Today when the matter was called, the respondent Police had produced the petitioner's daughter before us. It is seen that the petitioner's daughter was born on 21.01.2006 and has now completed 18 years of age. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the girl had
left the petitioner's house and joined one Yuaraj and is living with him ever since.
5.When we interacted with the girl Meenu, she expressly submitted that she intended to live only with the boy Yuaraj and does not want to reconcile with her mother.
6.Since the petitioner's daughter is a major and has taken a conscious decision on her own to choose a partner, this Court in exercise of its power under Article 226 will not compel her to go with her mother. 7.In view of the same, no further orders is required to be passed in this Habeas Corpus Petition and accordingly, it is closed.
