ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 11.08.2016, wherein, the petitioner had sought for issuance of Patta.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the property was settled in her favour by her husband in the year 2010 and thereby she became the owner of the property. The petitioner had earlier made an application before the 3rd respondent seeking for Patta and the said application was rejected by proceedings dated 13.07.2016. The petitioner aggrieved by the same, filed an appeal before the 2nd respondent on 11.08.2016. The grievance of the petitioner is that the appeal has not been disposed of till date and therefore the present writ petition has been filed seeking for appropriate directions. 3.Heard Mr.P.Saravanan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.K.Parameshwaran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents. 4.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 11.08.2016, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is made clear that if notice has to be given to any other interested party, such notice shall also be issued before passing final orders in the appeal. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent along with a copy of the appeal petition dated 11.08.2016 and a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.

No costs.

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
