Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records of the District Collector and District Magistrate, Cuddalore, the 2nd respondent herein in connection with the Detention order No.C3.D.O./50/2020 dated 07.05.2020, quash the same and further direct the Respondents to produce the Detenu Balamurugan, aged 31 years, son of Rayappan detained in Central Prison, Cuddalore, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in No.C3.D.O./50/2020, dated 07.05.2020, detaining her son as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.2890 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 06.07.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
