The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1-A), 4(1 )(aaa) of TNP Act, in Crime No.104 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 240 liters of ID arrack. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 240 litres of ID arrack . He would further submit that there

are no previous cases are pending against the petitioner and hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the allegations and also considering the quantity of illegal possession of I.D. Arrack, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
