The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A) of TNP Act in Crime No.41 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused was found in illegal possession of 110 litres of ID arrack. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner was found to be in illegal possession of 110 litres of ID arrack . He would further submit that there are eight previous case of similar in nature pending as against the petitioner and hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
