This Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ or any Order or direction in the nature of Writ directing the Thasildar, Tiruvarur Taluk, the 4th respondent to complete the process as directed in the order of this court dated 26.11.2013 passed in W.P.No.28348 of 2008 and pay the petitioner's withheld balance of DCRG benefits, within a period of 6 weeks.

For Petitioner : Mr.S.Namasivayam For Respondents : Mr.J.Ramesh, Addl.Gov.Pleader, for R1 to R4.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the 4th respondent to complete the process as per the direction of this court dated 26.11.2013 in W.P.No.28348 of 2008 and pay the petitioner's withheld balance of DCRG benefits.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the 4th respondent is now come forward to release the withheld DCRG amount of Rs.2,47,221/- along with interest, as per rules and to that effect, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvarur has sent a letter to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Accountant General (A & E), Chennai in Rc.No.205/2020/A1/ dated 01.02.2020. He also placed the above said letter before this court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he has received the copy of the above said order.

4. In the light of the above said proceedings dated 01.02.2020 , this court directed the 4th respondent to pay the above said Rs.2,47,221/- along with statutory interest, as per the rules, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
