ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) This writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus forbearing the respondents from permitting the private respondents from indulging in indiscriminate quarrying operations.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the operation of quarrying has been stopped from 30.06.2020 onwards and the lease itself has come to an end on 05.07.2020. It is further submitted that in case any lease has to be granted in future, the rules and regulations governed under the Tamil Nadu Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1959 would be scrupulously followed.

3. Recording the abovesaid statement made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the writ petition stands closed. It is made clear that if any decision is made to give lease to the third party, the official respondents to follow the rules scrupulously and in the light of the objections raised by the petitioner and other villagers. No costs.
