This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide water connection to the petitioner and also to clear the block in the public drain connected to the house of the petitioner. 2.The learned Special Government Pleader on instructions from the respondent submitted that the petitioner is due and payable certain statutory dues and if the same is paid, immediate action will be taken by the respondent, to provide the water connection and remove the block from the drain. 3.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the respondent can be directed to raise a demand and the petitioner will make the necessary payment and the learned counsel further submitted that some time limit may be fixed for the respondent to provide the water connection. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to immediately raise a demand on the petitioner and the petitioner shall settle the statutory dues. Immediately on such settlement, the respondent shall provide necessary water connection and also take steps to remove the block from the drainage. This process shall be completed by the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date on which the petitioner settled the statutory dues. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation along with a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
