O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This writ petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner's Association on 28.05.2020 and to allot shops for the members of the Association in the shops that are going to be constructed by the respondent Corporation.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the members of the Association/Sangam were doing flower business on a daily basis at V.O.C Market. This market was temporarily shifted in order https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to enable the respondent Corporation to demolish the existing structure and to put up a new building. The petitioner on behalf of its members, made a representation to the respondent on 28.05.2020, requesting for an alternative place to do their flower business till the construction is completed and allotment of shops is made.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representation was not considered and therefore, the petitioner was constrained to file the present writ petition, seeking for appropriate directions.

4. Heard Mr.R.Kannan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Ganesh, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent.

5. Taking into consideration, the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 28.05.2020 and take a decision and inform the same to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with a copy of the representation dated 28.05.2020 and a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
