These two applications have been filed seeking impleadment of the applicant as the tenth defendant in the suit and as the ninth respondent in SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY,J 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

rna O.A.No.173 of 2024. In the affidavit in support of these applications, it is stated that the second respondent, M/s.OK Films, assigned exclusive world rights Ganga Kauvery Entertainment Private Limited and that the said entity, in turn, assigned rights to M/s.Big Apple. According to the applicant, M/s.Big Apple assigned the rights to the applicant under agreement dated 01.02.2012 insofar as the 53 movies described in the schedule to the judge's summons are concerned.

2. On instructions, learned senior counsel for the plaintiff states that he has no objection to the applicant being impleaded as prayed for.

3. Upon examining the affidavit and considering the submissions of learned counsel for the applicant, the applicant qualifies, at a minimum, as a proper party to the suit. Therefore, both these applications are allowed as prayed for.
