Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 10.06.2015 to provide E.B.Connection to their the petitioners house at Kaveri Nagar, Angammal Colony, Salem-9 on admitted procedure to accure the ends of justice.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The Petitioners would claim that they are poor and downtrodden and they are all residents of Kaveri Nagar, Angammal Colony, Salem for many years and since they have not been provided with the basic amenity of electricity supply, approached the respondent with an application dated 10.06.2015 praying for electricity service connection and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Mr.R.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners has drawn the attention of this Court to the representation dated 10.06.2015 submitted by the petitioners and would contend that this Court in similar facts and circumstances vide order dated 27.06.2008 made in W.P.No.15156 of 2008, has granted similar relief and prays for appropriate orders. 4.Per contra, Mr.S.K.Raameshuwar, learned Standing Counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent would contend that representation said to have been sent by the petitioners have not been received by the office of the respondent and would further submit that the petitioners are at liberty to approach the office of the respondent to get individual form for getting electricity connection and submit the same by complying with the formalities and if the applications are in order, it will be considered in accordance with law.
5.In the light of the above facts and circumstances, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the respondent for getting application forms for the provision of electricity supply, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and submit the same by paying prescribed fee and enclosing necessary documents within a period of one week thereafter and the respondent on receipt of the said applications, shall process the same, if they are in order and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks thereafter and inform the decision taken, to the petitioners. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
