Thangamani ..Respondent(s) Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 4th respondent to conduct and complete the enquiry, strictly in accordance with the directions issued by the 2nd respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court,
and pending such enquiry, to restrain the 5th and 6th respondents from providing or continuing any high-voltage electricity service connection to the subject premises, and to forbear them from extending any electrical service or facilities to the said place, until all statutory approvals and permissions are duly verified and complied with.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct to the fourth respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation dated 30.10.2025 seeking for cancellation of the permission granted to the 7th respondent for setting up a wood cutting mill, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, in a residential area, permission has been granted to the 7th respondent to set up a wood cutting mill, which is illegal. The petitioner also claims that the second respondent has already directed the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation seeking for cancellation of the license granted to the 7th respondent for setting up a wood cutting mill in the residential area. However, according to the petitioner, till date, no final order has been passed by the fourth respondent on the petitioner's representation dated 30.10.2025.
3. Mr.K.Surendran, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 3; and Ms.K.Vasantha Mala, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the fourth respondent. Since no adverse orders are passed against the 7th respondent, notice to the 7th respondent in this writ petition is dispensed with.
4. No prejudice will be caused to the fourth respondent if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections from the 7th respondent and any other party whom the fourth respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the fourth respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 30.10.2025 seeking for cancellation of the license granted to the 7th respondent for setting up a wood cutting mill in a residential area, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections from the 7th respondent and any other party whom the fourth respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the aforesaid representation of the petitioner. No Costs.
