This Petition is filed to direct the respondent herein viz., the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Vellore District to complete the investigation in the above case in Cr.No.14 of 2019 and file a final report before the concerned court, within a stipulated time. 1/4

2. No representation for the petitioner who is the defacto complainant in Cr.No.14 of 2019 on the file of the first respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration before this court on 26.04.2024, this court found that the final report not filed due to the non-receipt of the forensic report regarding the quality of the gold jewel pledged which is the subject matter of the investigation. Therefore, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent sought time to get instructions from the Forensic Department. But he has not stated the probable date for furnishing the report.

4. Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the Forensic Department had responded to the query and informed the Investigation Officer through communication dated 28.05.2024 stating that the Nationalised Banks will be made available by the end of November, 2024.

5. In the light of the above fact, the Criminal Original Petition filed for expediting the investigation and file final report is disposed of 2/4

directing the first respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report by the end of December, 2024.
